Golden Monkey Tracking

Golden monkey tracking in Volcanoes National Park offers a more accessible and often more energetic primate encounter than gorilla trekking. The golden monkeys are beautifully coloured with vibrant gold patches on their backs and cheeks, and they are highly active — leaping, playing and feeding in the bamboo forests.

The trek is generally shorter and less strenuous than gorilla trekking, making it ideal for those with limited mobility or those seeking a different primate experience. The habituation is excellent and sightings are very reliable. This can be combined with gorilla trekking for an incredible two-day primate adventure.
