A 30% deposit is required to confirm your booking. This deposit is non-refundable. It is used immediately to secure and pay your accommodation with our lodge partners, many of whom do not permit cancellation once a booking is confirmed on their end. The remaining balance is due 14 days before the tour start date. All prices are in USD unless stated otherwise. Gorilla trekking permits ($1,500 per person) are quoted and paid separately. Online payments are processed via a secure third-party gateway; your statement may show the charge under our registered payment entity, Jonathan Car Hire & Tours Ltd.
Your 30% deposit is non-refundable under any circumstances, as it is paid directly to secure accommodation and, where applicable, permits — many of our lodge partners have strict no-cancellation policies once a booking is placed. If you cancel more than 14 days before departure, no further charges beyond the deposit apply. If you cancel within 14 days of departure and the remaining balance has already been paid, any refund of that balance is limited to what we are able to recover from our suppliers at that time, which in many cases may be nothing. Gorilla and chimpanzee trekking permits are non-refundable once issued by Rwanda Development Board, regardless of cancellation timing.
We strongly recommend that all clients purchase comprehensive travel insurance covering trip cancellation, medical emergencies, and evacuation before travelling to Rwanda.
Rwanda Safari Tours acts as agent for airlines, hotels and other service providers. We accept no liability for delays, changes or cancellations by third-party providers. We are not responsible for events beyond our control including natural disasters, political unrest or wildlife behaviour.
Clients are responsible for ensuring they meet all health requirements for travel to Rwanda including required vaccinations. Gorilla trekking requires reasonable physical fitness. Clients with health conditions should consult their doctor before booking.
